En route back from Italy with my Love…

A life well-lived is a life well-traveled and geralyn applegate with heirloom, hardware & home has done both and then some.  Armed with a bachelor of arts degree and numerous years of working in both residential & commercial interiors with solid construction project management woven throughout; she and her college sweetheart (along with their four children and two pets!) have called home multiple states, both coasts and most fondly ~ clients that are now friends and friends that are now clients.  Thanks to this; geralyn is a perfect mix of a bit of everything yet always unique, collected, refined and timeless.  Her worklove is brainstorming and building a backdrop for clients to fully realize a gracious life by mixing well-culled vintage pieces with modern market furnishings to make one's dream home (& pinterest board!) an easy reality.  As varied as her pieces & perspective; so goes her projects which means working with a deep portfolio of local craftsman, artisans, retailers, vendors and the like to deliver a successful ending to every story, every time...on time & on budget.

How it all began

Years ago...before decorating Dallas, before a retail location in Little Rock, before working with indie boutiques pitching new products for SoCal’s indie brand Urban Decay, and before pursuing the NE’s most prestigious collegiate campuses with trend-spotters & trend-setters came my first official foray into interior design and construction consulting with one of the South’s biggest commercial developers and construction companies. Since then, I've found new ways to use my passion no matter where I live. After revamping my TX home a few years ago, a local realtor invited me to host an event with hopes of fostering a community of local design in Dallas... the rest is history in this amazing city!

her biggest cheerleaders

Although I am grateful to be a designer; I am most blessed to call myself a wife, a mother, and a coordinator of chaos for four wonderful children! They have taught me the importance of functionality in design, how to create spaces your children will feel safe and free to imagine in, and so much more. I am so grateful for my husband and kids’ constant encouragement and I hope that by watching their mom follow her dream they will feel empowered to go after theirs!
